In short - The Vijitt is, at time of writing, THE best hotel that I have stayed at in all of my travels.

I loved the fact that it is situated far away from the hustle and bustle of more touristy sites such as Patong beach. While it is a good 45-minute drive away from the airport and 30 minutes from Patong, its location means that you get to spend your time at this hotel in total relaxation - however, it is right next to a beach that is not suitable for swimming because of rocks. I did not mind this as the infinity-edge pool was sufficient for me, as was the (complimentary and highly recommended) day-trip to Coral Island by boat. The hotel provides a shuttle service to Phuket town and Jungceylon (if I am not mistaken), but there are only limited departures each day so I would suggest renting a car for convenience. Car hire is not expensive in Phuket.

I was impressed by the service and attentiveness of ALL the staff at this hotel from the moment I set foot in the lobby to check in until the minute I checked out. We were served delicious lemongrass tea while having our check-in processed by the receptionist, which was completed in no time, and were then introduced to our personal assistant for the length of our stay, Netty. She was extremely polite, friendly and hospitable. We were then escorted to our villa on a buggy. Once we were in the villa, she introduced us to all the amenities available inside the villa and at the hotel.

We stayed in a deluxe villa facing the sea. These villas are VERY spacious with floor to ceiling windows allowing lots of light in. The bathroom was about the same size as the bedroom (ie. huge) with sinks for him and her, a bathtub/Jacuzzi, and a lovely outdoor rainforest shower. The dressing area and wardrobe were also of a considerable size with all imaginable amenities, including mosquito repellent which you may need when you are relaxing on the lazy chairs in your private verandah overlooking the Andaman sea. Unlike most hotel websites, the pictures on this hotel's official website are quite representative of what you will see when you get there personally. There were no loud pounding music from any disco or lounge, boisterous groups on their hen night or screaming children to ruin the tranquility of my stay there - the environment was just what I needed to unwind. All the guests at this resort seemed to be couples on a getaway/honeymoon.

A complimentary day trip to Coral Island by boat is provided by the hotel, including the shuttle to the pier. I would highly recommend taking this trip, as Coral Island seems to be less crowded and there is also an area reserved for snorkeling. Water sports facilities are also available. The resort staff served us some refreshing pineapple juice when we arrived. There are also chairs on the beach reserved only for Vijitt hotel guests. To our delight, they also provided towels and mineral water. (Lunch however is not provided and the only option you have there is a buffet costing about THB300 at a restaurant that is not run by the hotel)

Cons-
MANY - i mean MANY - creepy crawlies roam the foot paths after it rains - it may not bother you but for those who are terrified of these things like me it's a good thing to know beforehand! Also, we found the food at the buffet breakfast mediocre... but it was a good selection nevertheless!

Other than these, I have no other complaints about this amazing establishment and have been hoping to come back soon! I would like to mention the exemplary service provided to us by our personal villa assistant, the housekeeping staff and bellboy who went out of their ways to make our stay extra pleasant. I loved The Vijitt so much that I've booked my parents a stay in October!

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved this resort.

The room was very nice and we loved the bathroom with the outside shower.

The pool area was beautiful with an amazing view to look out to and the water was a perfect temperature. Just be careful walking on the black deck after the sun has been on it. It gets so hot that it really burns your feet and gets quite slippery when it's wet.

The service at this resort is very personal and professional.

The location of the resort is a little out of the way from the main area of Rawai. We hired a moped to get around. It would be quite a long walk to get to the main area without it. However the resort does offer free shuttle buses to various locations. We didn't use the service but I think this is a great service to offer guests.

Overall a beautiful resort in a quiet location.

We are located in a villa the most economic gan had a bath, outdoor shower, two lavbos with dressing, dressing gown and slippers, a large bedroom and a balcony with two chairs. The reception and service is excellent. the villas are discreetly isolated at various levels of height with manicured gardens. Actually the place is even better than what they show on their website.

They transport you in a buggy for a restaurant and swimming pool to avoid if you do not fancy walking. Towels included in pools and transfers to the beach.

The food is excellent, but a European price. Breakfast was included and all the food in buffet was very good. Making tortillas, scrambled pancakes, French toast and waffles at once.

The only downside is the beach that gives that looks wonderful, is a beach that does not support coral bathroom. We provide walking shoes across the bay and coral when the tide is a marvel of landscape. It is full of life. To compensate piscna have a beautiful oceanfront salt water that you throw it under the beach is almost on top of it.

And yet, the hotel takes you back to Nai Harn or Coral Island for free, which is well worth it, are beautiful beaches.

The overall hotel service is excellent. The decor, loved it. Abstain if you like is you do swans with the towels on the bed.

Another thing that the hotel should check their sources of excursions: you sell the tour to Phi Phi, which is expensive, it comes with a price. And we sold something that was not what we get. See the critique in "Things to do in Phuket."

The atmosphere outside the hotel does not like too much but ate ns in a very good restaurant, ski to sea in Rawai, returning to leg ... The hotel does not give much information about the environment, but is that worth to Phuket relax on beaches or in a resort like this.

A tastefully designed resort hotel with nice walkways and pretty well maintained garden.Pool villas were very comfortable with splendid views of the bay and the resort.
Food at the resort was very good and the cooking course well prepared and worth a try.
The 40m pool is great for visitors who enjoy swimming laps. Fitness room is basic. Can run from there to the Promthep Cape in approx. 30' (bring enough water).

Spa was great with relaxing massage while monkeys swing between trees in a distance.
Staff very friendly and helpful, though still a lot better than my Thai, the command of the English language is an issue for many staff but we managed to communicate.

When its low tides you can walk a long distance over the beach/see bed and admire millions of little crabs.
Hotel transportation is safe and comfortable both on resort (golf carts) and on the road.

We got a last minute deal on Expedia and were very pleased with what we got for the money. We stayed in a deluxe villa (75) and the view was nice, the distance to the restaurant and pool wasn't bad (the steep hill was a little much after too much to drink or too much time in the sun!). The villas are huge with beautiful bathrooms and floor to ceiling windows. My only complaint with the villas would be the choice of wall paper as it makes the walls look like they have stains on them but it's the design. The other thing was the bugs. Make sure you keep all the door as firmly shut as you can and maybe bring some bug repellent.

The staffs at the hotel are unreal! The friendliest staff we have come across for sure. Always said hello and smiled no matter who they were or what you were doing.

Toto from the restaurant was so nice, worked really hard and made our time there very pleasant, and Beau from reception was also very nice.
One of the things we loved the best about staying here was the singer and guitar player that were at the restaurant for lunch and breakfast. They were AMAZING! They knew about a million English songs and they were soooo good. It was amazing the songs they turned into acoustic versions. I could listen to them for ages. Definitely give them a tip on your way out.

The pool was one of the most beautiful pools I have been in. The views were amazing, the temperature was just right, it was awesome. You can swim in the ocean when the tide is high, but why would you when you have such an amazing pool there?
Despite a few little things that could be improved (villa decor, bugs), we had an amazing time and would recommend this hotel!

Last July we visited Phuket and stayed 6 nights at the Vijitt Resort. Everything was perfect and even exceeded our expectations.

Located in one of the quieter areas of the island, making it ideal to relax (relax!) And also provides free transfer to other areas of the island such as Patong (bulliciiosa zone and for me, unless recommended at least for housing) and even have a free shuttle to go to Coral Island turned out to be a spectacular beach and very quiet. Another beach they have on the daily shuttle to Nai Harn was also a highlight.

The staff very friendly and always attentive to what we needed. I recommend the restaurant at the resort which is also pretty well priced, we made many meals there and had a varied menu. The breakfast ... amazing, with lots of variety.

The pool is as shown in photos, spectacular! And you have the option of Spa, in July that at least had some very competitive discounts, in addition to a comprehensive menu of services (I recommend the outdoor Jacuzzi before or after some treatment).

Other services that we used was the shuttle service with the free rental of movies on DVD (with no speaking in Castilian) and the catalog of trips to pay (for example, Phi Phi).
In short, our station here has exceeded our own expectations and I truly believe that if we return to Phuket (quite likely) is more than likely to repeat in Vijitt.
Ah! I forgot, also have high speed internet in each villa.
