East coast beaches are different in nature to the west coast beaches, there is a very shallow shelve that runs almost flat, meaning that at low tide the sea goes out along way, this also means even at high tide the water can be shallow. The sea in this area is therefore very safe, no rips, under-tows or beaches dropping away very quickly. However our beach (Friendship Beach) is one of the best spots for Kite surfing between November and April and we have a kite surfing school that teaches from our resort.

• Are there sun beds on the beach?

The beach is a short beach and best suited for Kite surfing, horse riding or gentle walks, as it is a public beach we do not put sun chairs on the beach itself but we do have them available in the gardens that run alongside the beach. If you do want to lie on a beach we provide a free shuttle bus once per day to Nai Harn beach about 10 minutes from the resort.

• I heard that the resort is nice and peaceful but does that mean there is nothing to do in the area?

Absolutely not, although we are blessed with a peaceful and quiet location we are also within each reach of local restaurants and bars (5 minutes by car), Chalong Bay where most of the dive centres base themselves (8 minutes), as well as a number of interesting sightseeing opportunities including the Seashell museum, Horse Riding, the Big Buddha and more.

• Your Villas look quite big do you cater for families?

Yes we certainly do, we realize that our villas will suit families and want to ensure that a family stay integrates well with our other guests. For this reason we have a spacious Kids Club complete with indoor ball net playground, large outdoor playground, activities programme, Playstation games room, 3 depth level swimming pool and experienced staff on hand. We also take care of the little touches, plastic crockery and cutlery in the restaurant, special kids menus, kids under 6 eat free on buffets and 6-12 at 50%, special amenities in the villas, kids welcome pack, kids mini bar and much more.

• We want to do something different during our stay what can you recommend?

We have lots of activities available, within the resort you can do kite surfing, Thai cooking class, batik painting, visit our herb garden and enjoy a garden lunch, sample some of the best Champagnes in our private Champagne tastings, visit the local Seashell museum, take a dive trip or a boat out to one of the nearby island or even join one of our rubber tapping demonstrations!

• What is your environmental policy?

We are committed to creating and operating a service that is committed to creating and enhancing the local environment to ensure we have a sustainable product as well as protecting the local fauna and flora. The beach has been neglected in this area for some time and we are committed to work with the local community to make the beach a safer, cleaner and more enjoyable environment. We are committed to re-cycling and to minimise or exclude use of products that are considered harmful to the environment including CFC's, aerosols, non-biodegradable chemicals and packaging and finally our concept is as much as possible to buy locally to not only support the local community but also to minimise our carbon dioxide emissions through minimising transportation costs.
